• –Messages you send to other users through the in-app chat

• –Device type and operating system (for app compatibility)
• –Browser type (for web users)
• –Pages visited and features used within the app
• –IP address (used for rate limiting and security)

We do not collect:

• –Precise GPS or location data
• –Payment information (we do not process payments)
• –Contacts, photos, or other device data beyond what you explicitly provide

We use the information we collect to:

• –Display your ride listings to other users
• –Enable messaging between drivers and passengers
• –Send email notifications when someone contacts you about a ride
• –Improve and maintain the IceRide service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

When you post a ride the following is visible to other users:

• –Your display name
• –Your profile photo (if uploaded)
• –Your ride details (from, to, date, seats, notes)
• –Your contact details (email or phone number, only visible to logged-in users)

When you message another user, your messages are visible to that user only.

You have the right to:

• –Access the personal data we hold about you
• –Correct inaccurate personal data
• –Request deletion of your personal data
• –Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

IceRide is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information including:

• –Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transfer
• –Row-level security on our database so users can only access their own data
• –Email verification required to create an account
• –Rate limiting to prevent abuse

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to protecting your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on iceride.is. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
